Дев’ять років судових розглядів та численні спроби затягнути процес завершилися справедливим вироком. Київський апеляційний суд підтримав позицію прокуратури та залишив без змін вирок суду першої інстанції, яким мешканця Київщини засуджено до довічного позбавлення волі за жорстоке умисне вбивство 10-річної дівчинки та замах на життя іншої людини. Керівник Бучанської окружної прокуратури особисто представляв державне обвинувачення в апеляційному суді та відстояв інтереси потерпілих і суспільства.

Ця трагедія сталася у 2016 році. Перебуваючи під дією алкоголю та наркотиків, чоловік схопив дитину, перекрив їй доступ до повітря, а коли вона знепритомніла втопив у каналі та приховав тіло. За місяць до цього під час сварки зі знайомою він завдав ножового поранення чоловікові, який намагався її захистити.

Судовий процес у цій справі тривав майже десятиліття. Обвинувальний акт неодноразово повертали прокурору, змінювалась підсудність, губилися й знову знаходилися речові докази. Шість разів розгляд знімали через відсутність колегії суддів, змінювалися судді та захисники.

Попри це, прокуратура послідовно відстоювала державне обвинувачення та наполягала на найсуворішому покаранні для злочинця.

У березні 2025 року суд першої інстанції визнав його винним і засудив до довічного ув’язнення. Навіть під час судового процесу засуджений демонстрував цинізм, заявляючи, що не вважає свої дії злочином. При цьому він уже мав попередні судимості, а перебуваючи у слідчому ізоляторі, вчиняти нові правопорушення – від незаконного обігу наркотиків у великих розмірах до надання неправомірної вигоди.

Засуджений та його захисник оскаржили вирок суду першої інстанції та намагалися домогтися його зміни. Суд погодився з аргументами прокуратури: апеляційні скарги засудженого та його захисника залишено без задоволення, а вирок суду першої інстанції – без змін!

Prosecutor`s Office defended life sentence in the murder case of 10-year-old girl

Nine years of trials and numerous attempts to delay the process resulted in a fair verdict. The Kyiv Court of Appeal supported the position of the Prosecutor's Office and upheld the verdict of the court of first instance, by which a resident of Kyiv region was sentenced to life imprisonment for the brutal intentional murder of a 10-year-old girl and an attempt on the life of another person. The head of the Bucha District Prosecutor's Office personally represented the state prosecution in the court of appeal and defended the interests of the victims and society.

This tragedy happened in 2016. While under the influence of alcohol and drugs, the man grabbed the child, blocked her access to the air, and when she fainted, he drowned her in the canal and hid her body. Before that, during an argument, he stabbed a man who tried to protect her.

The trial in this case lasted almost a decade. The indictment was repeatedly returned to the prosecutor, the jurisdiction changed, physical evidence was lost and found again. Six times the proceedings were withdrawn due to the absence of a panel of judges, judges and defenders changed.

Despite this, the Prosecutor's Office consistently defended the state prosecution and insisted on the harshest punishment for the criminal.

In March 2025, he was convicted and sentenced to life in prison by the trial court. Even during the trial, the convict showed cynicism, saying that he did not consider his actions a crime. At the same time, he already had previous convictions, and while in the pre-trial detention center, to commit new offenses – from illegal drug trafficking in large amounts to providing an illegal benefit.

The convict and his defense attorney appealed the verdict of the court of first instance and tried to get it changed. The court agreed with the arguments of the Prosecutor's Office: the appeals of the convict and his defense attorney were dismissed, and the verdict of the court of first instance – was unchanged!
