They made a raider seizure of the property complex worth 20 million UAH - will be judged by four residents of Zhytomyr

Prosecutors of the Zhytomyr Regional Prosecutor's Office have sent an indictment to the court regarding four residents of Zhytomyr who carried out a raider seizure of a property complex in the Kyiv region.

It has been established that in 2009, the enterprise registered ownership of nearly 11 hectares of land in the Boryspil district of the Kyiv region and several buildings – a recreation house, a dormitory, and auxiliary premises. In 2022, the owner issued a power of attorney to two individuals, which was exploited by a resident of Zhytomyr who used the power of attorney granted to him by the enterprise owner for his own interests. Together with three accomplices, he forged documents for a fictitious loan of 600,000 UAH allegedly secured by the enterprise. In 2023, the "creditor" obtained through the court the transfer of ownership of the land and buildings as "debt repayment." After that, the property complex was re-registered to a newly created LLC, included in its charter capital, and officially registered under the company.

The property owner suffered damages amounting to nearly 20 million UAH.

The actions of the accused have been qualified depending on the committed acts under parts 3, 5 of Article 27, part 3 of Article 28, part 3 of Article 206-2, part 3 of Article 209, part 3 of Article 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by the Investigative Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the region with operational support from the Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police of Ukraine in the Zhytomyr region.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
