More than 1,500 hectares of land, on the basis of which the state agrarian-economic university trains students, conducts agricultural research, and implements modern farming technologies, have remained in state ownership. Prosecutors of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office prevented this key educational and research base from being registered to a private company.

It has been established that a private company sought to annul the state act on the right of use and terminate the university's rights to the land plot through court proceedings, as well as to register this land in its name. Such a lawsuit posed a real threat of the loss of a significant area of state territory, on which the university provides training for future specialists in the agricultural sector.

Therefore, to prevent the loss of this land from state ownership, prosecutors intervened in the case at the stage of its consideration by the first-instance court. The position of the prosecution was based on the fact that the land plot is used by the university in accordance with the law and is of significant importance for the educational process and agricultural science.

On November 11, 2025, the Central Appellate Economic Court supported the arguments of the prosecution and upheld the decision of the first-instance court. The private company was denied the satisfaction of its claim, and the university's right to permanent land use was confirmed.

“This land is a full-fledged educational and scientific base of the university, where specialists for the agricultural sector are trained and research important for the development of the industry is conducted. Preserving such territories in state ownership is a fundamental issue for education, science, and the economy of Ukraine. The prosecution will continue to consistently protect state assets and respond to any attempts at their illegal removal,” emphasized the juvenile prosecutor of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.
