Prosecutors of the Volyn Regional Prosecutor's Office ensured the reimbursement of damages caused to the state budget by a wholesale trading company in petroleum products.

The pre-trial investigation established that the company, during the period from 2020 to the first quarter of 2025, was documenting fictitious sales of fuel that it did not actually supply. At the same time, the products were sold to companies in the real sector of the economy for cash.

In this way, the tax liabilities for income tax were understated by more than 4.5 million hryvnias.

During the investigation, the head of the company admitted his guilt, and the company fully repaid its debt to the state.

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings regarding the intentional evasion of tax payments in large amounts (part 2 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) has been completed. It was conducted by the Bureau of Economic Security in the Volyn region.
