It was harmful to the state for over UAH 13.2 million - in absentia reported suspicion to the director of the Mariupol Hospital

The head of the Donetsk regional prosecutor's office has announced, in absentia, the suspicion against a deputy of the Mariupol City Council - the director of one of the hospitals in Mariupol - for unauthorized alteration of information processed in automated systems or computer networks, and for abuse of office, which caused severe consequences (part 3 of article 362, part 2 of article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, after the city was captured by the Russian Federation, the official left for the territory controlled by Ukraine and took advantage of a state program that allowed medical institutions from occupied territories to retain their personnel potential. Having signed a contract with the National Health Service of Ukraine, the suspect sent reports to its address for 6 months. Abusing her official position, with the aim of obtaining funds, she deliberately inflated the number of staff.

The illegal actions of the suspect led to the unjustified transfer of 13.2 million UAH from the state budget.

Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors, the pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Mariupol Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Donetsk region. Operational support is provided by the Criminal Investigation Department in the Donetsk region of the National Police of Ukraine.

Note: according to article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
