The investigation, conducted under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, has established that an authorized person of the KNP BMR "Bila Tserkva City Hospital No. 2" purchased pharmaceutical products from one company at inflated prices during different periods.

Initially, in 2021, the amount was 1.123 million UAH. The actual difference between the paid and delivered products amounted to 0.956 million UAH.

The following year, the official repeated the purchases. This time for 0.883 million UAH, while the goods delivered were worth significantly less, resulting in losses of 0.792 million UAH.

Thus, through her actions, the city hospital official caused damage to the budget amounting to 1.748 million UAH over two purchases.

Prosecutors from the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office informed the official of the suspicion under Part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – abuse of power or office, that is, intentional use of official power or position contrary to the interests of service for the purpose of obtaining any unlawful benefit for herself or another individual or legal entity, which caused severe consequences.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
