Transcarpathian illegally seized 2 ha in the Dragobrat valley - prosecutors reported suspicion

Under the procedural guidance of the Transcarpathian Regional Prosecutor's Office, a local resident has been notified of suspicion for unlawfully acquiring nearly 2 hectares of land near the lift at Dragobrat meadow. According to the expert's conclusion, their value amounts to 12.5 million hryvnias. Law enforcement has seized the land plots to prevent further resale schemes.
The suspect acted in collusion with another individual. He provided his data for the development of land management technical documentation, which was forged by his accomplice. The ready-made fictitious documents were submitted to obtain property rights to this land.
Within the investigation, it has been confirmed that the Yasinya Village Council did not issue a decision on the allocation of land. Currently, all individuals involved in the criminal scheme are being identified.
The actions of the suspect are classified as fraud in especially large amounts by prior conspiracy of a group of individuals, aiding in the forgery of an official document and its use (part 5 of article 27, part 4 of article 190, part 5 of article 27, part 3 of article 358, part 4 of article 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The prosecutor's office will petition for a preventive measure in the form of detention.
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings is being conducted by the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Transcarpathian region with operational support from the Criminal Investigation Department of the police.
Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established.
