Under the public prosecution of the prosecutors of the Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor's Office, the court found two residents of the region guilty of committing sabotage, intentional arson, obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during a special period, and other crimes (Part 2 of Article 28, Part 2 of Article 113, Part 2 of Article 28, Part 2 of Article 194, Part 2 of Article 28, Part 1 of Article 114-1, Part 3 of Article 15, Part 2 of Article 28, Part 2 of Article 194, Part 1 of Article 309 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The prosecutors proved that a resident of the city of Bahachivsk set fire to a relay cabinet at a railway facility in Cherkasy region, a vehicle belonging to a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and a civilian car disguised as a military one for a monetary reward in August 2024. He recorded the results of the act on his phone and sent them to the customer.

At the end of August 2024, he attempted to set fire to the premises of the Yurki village council in the Bahachivska city council, but did not complete the crime.

To carry out another task – the arson of the Bahachivskyi City Court building, he involved a resident of the Zvenyhorod district. On August 31, 2024, the perpetrators set fire to the court.

The court sentenced the organizer to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of all property, and the accomplice to 5 years of imprisonment.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Cherkasy region under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor's office.
