Under the public prosecution of the prosecutors of the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office, a 27-year-old resident of Izmail was found guilty of treason (part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

He was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.

Prosecutors proved in court that the man collected and transmitted information about the locations of military units, the movement of personnel and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Izmail district to representatives of the Russian special services. For carrying out such "tasks," he received monetary rewards.

To gather information, the convicted individual, dressed in women's clothing, traversed the area and secretly recorded Ukrainian objects, then reported to his curator with a "report" in the form of text messages, photographs, and markings on electronic maps.

Law enforcement officers detained the agent in January 2025. During a search, they seized a mobile phone containing evidence of illegal activities.

The man awaited his sentence in custody.

The pre-trial investigation and operational support in the criminal proceedings were carried out by the SBU Office in the Odesa region.
