Prosecutors of the Office of the Attorney General, following the results of the pre-trial investigation, sent an indictment to the court regarding the deputy head of the border post of one of the border detachments of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. His actions were qualified under part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

In February 2025, the official organized the illegal transportation of two conscripts across the state border of Ukraine to the Republic of Belarus. The monetary reward for both amounted to 16 thousand US dollars.

Since the accused was part of the command of the border post and possessed information about changes in shifts in his area of responsibility and the actions of border guards, he provided the men with detailed instructions on how to cross the border outside the established checkpoints, equipment, and further actions after the illegal transportation.

After receiving the money, he was detained by law enforcement officers, thus preventing the evasion of conscripts from the country.

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings was conducted by the Main Investigative Department of the State Bureau of Investigations with operational support from the Security Service of Ukraine in the Rivne region.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
