According to the investigation, on December 25, 2025, around 12:20, the Russian military shelled the central part of Kherson. A 47-year-old man was killed. Information regarding the injured is being clarified. 

Prosecutors, together with police investigators, are taking all necessary measures to properly document and record the war crimes committed by representatives of the Russian armed forces. Under the procedural guidance of the Kherson District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated regarding the commission of a war crime that resulted in a person's death (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
