Under the procedural guidance of the Brovary District Prosecutor's Office, an investigation is underway regarding the misappropriation of budget funds during the capital repair of streets in the village of Hoholiv and the village of Velyka Dymerka in the Brovary district of Kyiv region.

According to the investigation, the director of the contracting company - a deputy of the Velyka Dymerka village council in the Brovary district of Kyiv region, during the execution of road works, provided false information in the acceptance acts of completed construction works regarding the volumes and costs of the works.

In particular, the indicators for the arrangement of foundations and coverings, the area of asphalting, and the amount of material used were inflated, totaling 827 thousand UAH.

The head of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office has informed the suspect of charges under Part 2, 5 of Article 191, Part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (embezzlement, misappropriation of property or acquisition of it through abuse of office, as well as official forgery).

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
