TCC servicemen in Bukovina were detained on suspicion of organizing the illegal crossing of persons across the border

Under the procedural guidance of the Chernivtsi Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense of the Western region, two servicemen of the territorial recruitment and social support center have been exposed for organizing a scheme for the illegal transportation of individuals across the state border of Ukraine under martial law.
It has been established that the military attempted to transport two citizens to Romania for money, using their official position. The price for such "services" ranged from 7 to 14 thousand US dollars per person.
One of the suspects was detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine while receiving a 3 thousand euro advance. Subsequently, his accomplice was also detained, who was waiting for the completion of the transaction.
Both have been notified of suspicion under part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, and at the request of the prosecutors, the court has chosen preventive measures – detention with the right to bail.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Chernivtsi region, with operational support from the Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police, the Department of Counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine, and the Border Guard Service of Ukraine's 31st Border Detachment.
Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
