Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the Defense Sector of the Southern Region, the head of the department of the Odesa District Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support was exposed and detained while receiving an unlawful benefit.

According to the investigation, in September 2025, during a phone call, the suspect demanded an unlawful benefit of 2-3 thousand US dollars from a conscript, for which he promised to issue a new military registration document, remove him from the wanted list in the "Oberih" system, and provide a deferment from conscription during mobilization.

The final amount of the unlawful benefit was later communicated to him by the suspect, reducing it to 2 thousand US dollars. 

After the man reported to law enforcement, the actions of the official were under the control of the law enforcement agencies. 

At the beginning of October, he received 500 US dollars, and during the transfer of the remaining amount – 1,500 US dollars – the suspect was detained.

He was informed of the suspicion under part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and a preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen, with the possibility of posting bail in the amount of 1,002,268 hryvnias.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Main Investigation Department of the National Police in the Odesa region, with operational support from the Security Service of Ukraine in the Odesa region. 

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
