Prosecutors of the Chernivtsi Regional Prosecutor's Office have reported suspicion against the head of a company providing infrastructure services for tax evasion in particularly large amounts (Part 3 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, the enterprise rented over 13 hectares of land from the Chernivtsi City Council, including plots for a reservoir, a coastal strip, and areas for construction. In 2023–2024, the normative monetary valuation of this land exceeded 300 million UAH. At the same time, the company deliberately applied reduced land payment rates, evading real tax obligations.

As a result, the budget of Chernivtsi lost almost 23 million UAH. The head of the enterprise controlled the financial calculations, intentionally underreporting the payment amount.

Pre-trial investigation is being conducted by detectives of the Territorial Department of the Bureau of Economic Security in the Chernivtsi region under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor's office.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and confirmed by a guilty verdict of the court.
