With the approval of the head of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor's Office, the previously reported suspicion was changed in the criminal proceedings on the murder of People's Deputy of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy.

Taking into account the collected evidence, the legal qualification of the criminal offense was changed to part 1 of Art. 263 (illegal handling of weapons) and Art. 112 (encroachment on the life of a People's Deputy of Ukraine committed in connection with his state or public activities) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

In view of this, Lviv Region Prosecutor's Office instructed the Investigative Department of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region to carry out further pre-trial investigation in the specified criminal proceedings, for investigative jurisdiction.

The sanction of the article is imprisonment for 10 to 15 years or life imprisonment.

Today, he was remanded in custody for 60 days without bail.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing. 

Operational support is provided by the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv Region, the National Police of Ukraine, officers of the Strategic Investigations Department in the Lviv Region of the Department of Strategic Investigations of Ukraine, officers of the Department of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Lviv Region and the Security Service of Ukraine, as well as the Department of Counter Cybercrimes in the Lviv Region of the Cyberpolice Department of the National Police of Ukraine.
