Prosecutors of the Brovary District Prosecutor's Office have reported suspicion against a 44-year-old resident of Beryozan for the murder of a woman (Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, the tragedy occurred on September 26, 2025, in the suspect's garage. The man, trying to hide his relationship with a mistress from his cohabitant, who threatened to reveal everything, brutally beat her with a wooden stick on the head and body. The woman died on the spot from the injuries sustained.

After that, he hid the body in his garage and continued his usual life until he was detained by police officers on September 29.

Currently, the man has been placed in custody without the right to bail.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.

According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and confirmed by a guilty verdict of the court.
