In Zaporozhye, the spouse was reported suspected of preparing a terrorist attack against the military

Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Zaporizhzhia Regional Prosecutor's Office, a couple has been exposed for acting in the interests of Russian special services and preparing a terrorist attack against Ukrainian servicemen in Zaporizhzhia.

According to the investigation, the man and woman agreed to cooperate with representatives of the aggressor country and, at their request, manufactured an improvised explosive device. According to the enemy's plan, they were to place it in a location where Ukrainian military personnel were compactly residing in Zaporizhzhia.

The criminals planned to leave a phone with a camera near the site of the attack so that Russian special services could monitor the military and remotely detonate the explosives.

The couple was detained at dawn while they were heading to the crime scene with the explosives.

They have been informed of suspicion of attempting to commit a terrorist act by prior conspiracy of a group of individuals (Part 3 of Article 15, Part 2 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Currently, by court decision, they are in custody without the right to bail.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators from the Security Service of Ukraine in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
