Two state traitors were detained in Kyiv, who corrected enemy attacks on military facilities

Under the procedural guidance of the Office of the Prosecutor General in Kyiv, the Security Service detained two Russian agents who were transmitting information about the locations of Defense Forces units to the FSB, adjusting Russian shelling. They also attempted to ascertain the presence and technical condition of combat aircraft and helicopters at Ukrainian airfields.

The enemy agents turned out to be two local drug addicts who came to the enemy's attention while seeking easy money in Telegram channels.

For the promise of "quick earnings," the agents traveled around the region using public transport and recorded the territory of restricted facilities on their phones. The spotters circled the perimeters of potential enemy targets, photographing them from a distance or filming videos while simulating a phone conversation.

SBU employees uncovered the men, documented their work for the enemy, and detained them at the final stage. During searches, smartphones with evidence of their collaboration with the enemy were seized from the detainees.

They have been notified of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 28, Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — treason committed by a group of persons in conspiracy under conditions of martial law.

They are being held in custody without the right to bail. They face life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

Comprehensive measures were carried out by prosecutors of the Office of the Prosecutor General in conjunction with investigators from the Main Investigative Department of the SBU and SBU employees in Kyiv and the Kyiv region.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
