In Kiev, a scheme of fictitious employment to "lime" educational institutions for evasion of mobilization was exposed

Under the procedural guidance of the Office of the Prosecutor General, a scheme of fictitious employment of conscripts in fake private educational institutions has been uncovered, aimed at reserving and evading military service.

According to the investigation, a resident of Kyiv registered eight pseudo-educational institutions under controlled individuals, through which he fictitiously employed men as "teachers" for a monetary reward.

In return, the men received documents that provided grounds for reserving them from mobilization, although these institutions did not actually conduct any educational activities. To simulate legal employment, the "employees" transferred "contributions" every month, part of which was used to pay taxes and fees, while the other part went to the organizer.

During searches in Kyiv and Vinnytsia at the residences of the scheme participants, as well as in vehicles, gadgets, seals of educational institutions, documentation, and rough notes containing evidence of illegal activities were seized.

The organizer of the scheme, an accountant, and three other "directors" of educational institutions have been detained. They have been notified of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 28, Part 1 of Article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (obstruction of the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, committed by a group of persons in conspiracy).

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings is being conducted by the Main Investigation Department of the Security Service of Ukraine with operational support from the Counterintelligence Department of the Security Service of Ukraine.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
