Under the procedural guidance of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, an indictment has been submitted to the court against two individuals who planned to blow up a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Part 2 of Article 15, Part 2 of Article 258, Part 1 of Article 263, Part 1 of Article 263-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The investigation established that through the Telegram messenger, the cohabiting partners received an offer of "earnings" — to commit a terrorist act. Acting on the instructions of a curator, the accused purchased the necessary components and manufactured an improvised explosive device (IED). At the same time, the curator, communicating on behalf of an unknown woman, established contact with the serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and asked him to pick up items from an acquaintance.

The accused arrived at the meeting with the serviceman and handed him a backpack containing explosives. Immediately after the transfer, he attempted to remotely detonate the IED, but law enforcement officers timely neutralized the device and detained the perpetrator.

It has been established that the funds for carrying out the task were transferred to the bank account of the detained person's cohabitant.

Currently, the accused are in custody without the right to bail.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner.
