Under the public prosecution of the prosecutors of the Kirovohrad Regional Prosecutor's Office, a verdict has been issued in the case of a terrorist act that resulted in the deaths of 10 servicemen from the 3rd Separate Special Purpose Regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Five others were taken hostage.

Four militants of the terrorist organization "DNR" have been found guilty of committing a terrorist act (part 3 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Each has been sentenced to life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

In 2014, in the temporarily occupied territory near the village of Latysheve in the Shakhtarsk district of Donetsk region, special forces were conducting a search operation for the pilot-commander of an aviation squadron. As a result of the terrorist attack, he was forced to eject.

Prosecutors proved in court that at that time the convicted surrounded the servicemen of the 3rd Separate Special Purpose Regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Representatives of the terrorist organization used firearms, infantry fighting vehicles, and armored personnel carriers.

The materials of the criminal proceedings were considered in the order of special judicial proceedings.
