Will judge the participants of an organized group that encroached on appropriation of more than 300 hectares of land in Kherson region
18.08.2025
Prosecutors of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office have submitted an indictment to the court against four participants of an organized group for fraud, use of forged documents, and attempted legalization of property obtained through criminal means (Part 5 of Article 190, Part 2 of Article 15, Part 2 of Article 209, Part 5 of Article 27, Part 1 of Article 358, Part 3 of Article 28, Part 4 of Article 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that the perpetrators developed a scheme for the illegal acquisition of agricultural land plots in the Tyahyn community, with a total area of over 300 hectares of agricultural land, valued at over 17 million UAH.
In 2024, using forged certificates and state acts, the accused registered ownership rights to five land plots under fictitious persons at the Administrative Services Center (ASC). Subsequently, they created technical documentation for the division of each plot into two through notarized applications and a land management enterprise. As a result, ten new land plots were formed, each assigned separate cadastral numbers.
However, the perpetrators did not manage to fully implement their criminal plan and carry out the resale of the land, as they were exposed by law enforcement.
Currently, by a court decision based on the prosecutors' claims, all land plots have been returned to the communal property of the Tyahyn territorial community.
The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kherson region.
Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
