The court kept the MP from "OPZZH" in custody for another two months: suspicion of treason and work in the Russian Federation
19.11.2025
The court has extended the preventive measures for the people's deputy from the banned "OPZZH" and his former assistant.
At the request of the prosecutors from the Office of the Prosecutor General, on November 19, the court decided to continue the detention of the people's deputy from the banned party "OPZZH" — without the possibility of bail, until January 17, 2026.
The court also extended the preventive measure for his former assistant — house arrest until January 19, 2026.
We remind you that in September 2024, prosecutors from the Office of the Prosecutor General sent to court an indictment against them. The court proceedings regarding the mentioned individuals are ongoing. They are accused of financing actions aimed at the violent change of the constitutional order and the seizure of state power (part 3 of Article 110-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The people's deputy is additionally charged with treason (part 1 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, after the occupation of Crimea, the accused organized the re-registration of real estate under the legislation of the Russian Federation, entered into a security contract with an illegal paramilitary formation, and transferred funds to the Russian National Guard.
Furthermore, the investigation believes that the people's deputy acted in coordination with a former high-ranking official of the National Security and Defense Council, who left for Moscow after 2014 and is currently working for the aggressor country. He systematically broadcast pro-Russian narratives in public speeches and interviews, conducting subversive activities against Ukraine.
We remind you: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
