Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Office of the Prosecutor General, the pre-trial investigation of the criminal proceedings has been completed and an indictment has been sent to court against a serviceman of the 110th rifle regiment of the 1st army corps of the 8th combined arms army of the Southern Military District of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (a native of the Republic of Dagestan, Russia), who committed the rape of a local resident in the Kherson region (part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

During the investigation, it was established that the serviceman of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, in August 2022, along with other military personnel of the Russian Armed Forces, occupied one of the settlements in the Kherson region.

During the occupation, the mentioned serviceman, with the intent to humiliate human dignity, came to the home of a local resident, threatening her with physical harm, and forced her to come to another empty house. There, under the threat of murder, he raped the woman.
