Prosecutors have documented the effects of an enemy attack on Cherkasy region - an investigation was started

Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutors of the Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated regarding the commission of a war crime (part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, on the night of September 17, during an air raid alert, the enemy struck critical infrastructure facilities with kamikaze drones.

As a result of the attack, several settlements were left without electricity.

Fortunately, there were no fatalities or injuries.

Prosecutors, police investigators, and SBU officers, as well as specialists from the State Emergency Service in the Cherkasy region, are working at the scene, documenting yet another war crime committed by the aggressor state.

The extent of the damage is being determined.

For reference: the sanction of part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 8 to 12 years.
