Prosecutors of the Kryvyi Rih Northern District Prosecutor's Office have submitted an indictment to the court against 10 participants of a criminal organization that has been engaged in the illegal production and sale of methamphetamine for a long time.

The pre-trial investigation established that a resident of Kryvyi Rih organized the drug business and involved 10 other individuals in illegal activities. The members of the criminal organization set up a drug laboratory in the city, where they produced methamphetamine.

The defendants distributed the "product" throughout Ukraine, delivering orders to clients by mail or handing them over "from hand to hand."

According to preliminary estimates, the monthly profit from illegal activities amounted to over 3 million hryvnias.

The accused are charged with creating and leading a criminal organization, as well as participating in it, illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment, and sale of psychotropic substances, and organizing and maintaining places for their illegal use and production (Part 1, 2 of Article 255, Part 4 of Article 28, Part 3 of Article 307, Part 2 of Article 317 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings was conducted by investigators of the Kryvyi Rih District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region with operational support from the Department of Combating Drug Crime of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the region.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
