Prosecutors of Dnipropetrovsk region have achieved 15 years in prison for the Dnieper resident for state treason

Under public prosecution by the prosecutors of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, a resident of Dnipro has been sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property for treason committed in a state of war (part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

In court, prosecutors proved that the man collaborated with representatives of the FSB of the Russian Federation and collected information about the movement of personnel and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In 2024, he established contact with a curator via the Telegram messenger. To fulfill tasks, he placed six hidden cameras near railway stations in the Synelnykove and Pavlohrad districts, disguising them as "birdhouses." The cameras were connected to power sources and transmitted video in real-time.

In addition, he recorded the locations of military vehicles and transmitted the coordinates to the enemy, receiving rewards in cryptocurrency.

Until the sentence takes legal effect, the convicted person will remain in custody.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the SBU in the Dnipropetrovsk region under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor's office.
