The prosecutor's office of Frankivsk has taken measures to recover from local budgets more than 30 million UAH of unit participation
05.09.2025
The Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Prosecutor's Office is actively defending the interests of the state and local communities in court, seeking the return of funds that were meant for infrastructure development.
This concerns the so-called share participation – contributions for the construction of roads, networks, kindergartens, schools, and other facilities necessary for the comfortable life of residents. Often, certain construction contractors avoided paying this money, leaving community budgets without important revenues.
It should be noted that since 2020, legislation has abolished the obligation to conclude new share participation agreements. At the same time, the requirement to fulfill already concluded agreements and to pay contributions for construction that began in 2020 remains. These funds have become the subject of legal disputes.
In 2025, the prosecutor's office filed lawsuits for about 31 million UAH against the contractors of multi-apartment residential buildings and commercial premises who did not pay the corresponding contributions to the budgets of the communities in the region. Already, the defendants have voluntarily paid over 1.8 million UAH to the budget, while the rest of the cases are being considered by the court.
The Prosecutor's Office of Ivano-Frankivsk will continue to advocate for each community to receive the funds owed to them, and for the money to return to the budgets.
