The Transcarpathian Regional Prosecutor's Office has prevented the removal of the "Solotvyn Regional Allergy Hospital" from municipal ownership. This is a unique specialized medical institution for the treatment of patients with various chronic lung diseases: asthmatic bronchitis, allergic rhinitis, and bronchial asthma.

The basis for the court appeal was the illegal inclusion of the hospital in the list of objects subject to privatization by the Transcarpathian Regional Council, although this is prohibited by law for healthcare institutions of state and municipal ownership.

During the court proceedings, the regional council voluntarily canceled the decision contested by the prosecutor's office.

The hospital was founded in 1968 on the basis of the Solotvyn salt mine, where the method of speleotherapy was first applied in Ukraine. Thanks to the microclimate of the salt mines, patients were able to receive highly effective treatment for lung ailments. Besides the village of Solotvyno, similar methods were only used in the city of Soledar in Donetsk region.
