The Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine is taking decisive action against the most serious crimes against children and ensuring the inevitability of punishment for the guilty. Recently, a verdict was issued in Dnipro, and an indictment was sent to court in Kherson region.
Dnipro: 10 years of imprisonment for a mother for creating and selling child pornography
The head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional prosecutor's office supported the public prosecution and proved in court the guilt of a resident of Dnipro, who, together with her older son and an acquaintance, used her underage son to produce and sell child pornography.
The woman was sentenced to 10 years in prison with the confiscation of all her property. The older son was sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment with probation, with a probation period of 2 years.
Prosecutors proved that in 2022 - 2024, the accused, together with an acquaintance and her older son, produced and distributed child pornography. To produce it, she used her 11-year-old son.
They created a page on social media and a closed Telegram channel, where they distributed pornographic photo and video materials for monetary reward.
In addition, the woman handed over her minor son to a citizen of another country for sexual exploitation, who corrupted the child.
The mother is charged under Part 2 of Article 156, Part 4 of Article 301-1, Part 2 of Article 304, Part 3 of Article 149, and Article 166 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, while the older son is charged under Parts 2, 3, and 4 of Article 301-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Kherson region: a man will stand trial for the rape of a minor girl
The deputy head of the Kherson regional prosecutor's office, as the senior prosecutor of the group, approved and sent to court an indictment against a 24-year-old man for committing sexual violence against a minor (Part 4 of Article 152 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that in 2022, the accused, abusing the trust of the family, lured his friend's younger sister to a stranger's apartment, which he was watching, under the pretext of a "walk" to take care of the flowers. Left alone with the girl, he raped her.
The crime became known after the girl's mother noticed changes in her behavior and, after talking to the child, learned about the incident. The woman immediately reported it to law enforcement authorities.
For the committed act, the accused faces imprisonment for a term of 10 to 15 years.
The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kherson region.
Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
