It has been established that the Tarutynsk District State Administration unjustifiably re-registered 2 hectares of land from the former military training ground to the reserve lands of the village council. After that, illegally managing defense lands, it transferred this plot to a private individual for agricultural activities.

It is important to note that territories classified as defense lands belong to the state and cannot be transferred to communal or private ownership. According to the legislation, they must be used for purposes related to the protection of the state.

The violations were identified by the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense of the Southern region, which filed a lawsuit in court to restore the interests of the state.

The Tarutynsk District Court of Odesa region supported the position of the prosecutor's office, recognized the decision of the District State Administration as illegal, annulled it, and ordered the return of the land to state ownership in the person of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi KEC of the district.
