He appointed prison sentences to captive Azov-ts. Reported suspicion of the judge of the Russian Federation

Under the procedural guidance of the Office of the Prosecutor General, a judge of the Southern District Military Court of the Russian Federation has been notified of suspicion. He is charged under Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, namely - violation of the laws and customs of war as provided by international treaties, the binding nature of which has been agreed upon by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

According to the investigation materials, in 2024, the suspect, violating the requirements of Article 99 of the Geneva Convention on the Treatment of Prisoners of War, issued illegal sentences, by which he found two Ukrainian prisoners of war guilty and sentenced them to imprisonment for their direct participation in an international armed conflict.

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings is being conducted by investigators of the Main Investigative Department of the Security Service of Ukraine.

It is worth noting that in May of this year, for a similar fact of unlawful conviction of another prisoner of war of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, the mentioned judge was already notified of suspicion.

In connection with hiding from the pre-trial investigation authority, the suspect has been declared wanted.
