A number of online platforms related to the spread of child porn in the Ukrainian Internet segment have been stopped

Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Office of the Attorney General, operatives from the Cyber Police Department, together with investigators from the Main Investigative Department of the National Police, have shut down a number of internet resources that were used for storing and distributing child pornography, narcotic substances, and money laundering.

During an international investigation in collaboration with law enforcement agencies from the USA and France, it was established that a citizen of France organized the activities of an internet provider in Ukraine.

Since 2022, internet resources hosted on the company's servers were used for drug sales, trading stolen data, distributing malware, as well as spreading child pornography. According to estimates from foreign law enforcement, about 70% of child pornography in the Ukrainian segment of the internet was located on the specified equipment.

Also, one of the well-known illegal online markets with tens of thousands of users was hosted on the provider's server equipment. The platform allowed darknet users to organize large-scale fraud schemes, carry out attacks on banking systems, launder criminal profits, and order hacks of users' computers and smartphones.

Law enforcement conducted a sanctioned search at the residence of the individual involved and at the data center in Kyiv. A complex of server equipment, computer technology, hard drives, and documentation was seized.

Currently, further procedural actions and analysis of the seized equipment are ongoing.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
