According to the investigation, representatives of hostile intelligence services offered a local man, who was looking for easy money, to carry out several tasks. They promised to transfer the money to his crypto wallet.

To avoid raising unnecessary suspicions among neighbors, under the curator's instructions, the man rented an apartment and purchased components and ingredients for making an explosive device. Following the instructions provided during a video call, he assembled a homemade explosive device.

He left the package with the device near the vehicle of a Territorial Defense serviceman when he approached the house and signaled, after which the hostile intelligence services attempted to remotely activate the explosives. 

However, the explosion did not occur: the terrorist act was prevented, and the Ukrainian serviceman was saved thanks to timely technical changes made to the explosive device, which made its detonation impossible. Thanks to the coordinated and well-organized actions of the regional prosecutor's office and the Security Service of Ukraine in the Chernihiv region, the life of the Ukrainian defender was saved.

Currently, investigative (search) actions are underway to establish all the circumstances of the crime and the individuals involved in subversive activities against Ukraine.
