Under the procedural guidance of the Bucha District Prosecutor's Office, an indictment has been sent to court against a 39-year-old man for the intentional murder of his cohabitant (Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, in June 2025, in the city of Bucha, during a joint consumption of alcoholic beverages between the accused and the woman with whom he lived as a family, a conflict arose on the grounds of jealousy. During the quarrel, the man inflicted at least four knife wounds to his cohabitant's chest and shoulder. The injuries sustained were fatal — the 51-year-old woman died at the scene.

The perpetrator was detained, and a preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen for him. For his actions, the man faces a punishment of imprisonment for a term of seven to fifteen years.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the Bucha District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kyiv region.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
