In agreement with the prosecutors of the Office of the Prosecutor General, investigators of the Main Investigation Department of the National Police of Ukraine have informed a serviceman of the 110th Infantry Regiment of the 1st Army Corps of the 8th Combined Arms Army of the Southern Military District of the Russian Federation of suspicion of raping a civilian woman (part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, in August 2022, the serviceman arrived at the territory of one of the households in Kherson region, where the victim lived with her family. After a brief conversation, the suspect ordered the woman to go with him to another house nearby, where, threatening her with a firearm to overcome resistance and using physical force, he raped her.

Currently, the pre-trial investigation is ongoing, and necessary investigative actions are being conducted.
