Two state registrars who made illegal registration of land in Ternopil region worth UAH 39 million were notified
26.08.2025
Under the procedural guidance of the Chortkiv District Prosecutor's Office, two state registrars were notified of suspicions regarding unauthorized actions with information processed in automated systems (part 3 of Article 362 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, in July 2023, a state registrar from one of the city councils in the Chortkiv district of Ternopil region issued an extract from the state register of property rights regarding the registration of a forged sublease agreement for a land plot, without properly verifying the documents. This plot, identified by its cadastral number, contains a pond that was illegally subleased.
In March 2025, a state registrar from one of the village councils in the Chortkiv district issued an extract from the state register regarding the state registration of a knowingly forged sublease agreement for the same land plot with the pond, valued at 39 million UAH.
Due to the illegal actions of the suspects, the land plot with the pond was unlawfully registered to the sublessee, resulting in a loss of funds for the budget.
The issue of choosing preventive measures for the suspects is being resolved.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Chortkiv District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Ternopil region, with operational support from the Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police of Ukraine.
Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in the manner prescribed by law and confirmed by a court verdict.
