More than $ 33,000 for organizing the escape of military personnel abroad - the organizer of the scheme was exposed in Lviv region

Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Lviv Regional Prosecutor's Office, a resident of Sokal was exposed for organizing the transportation of men of conscription age to European countries.

According to the investigation, the man promised to help conscripts avoid mobilization and leave Ukraine. In particular, one of the options offered to the "client" involved smuggling him into Poland through a border crossing, bypassing border control. It was planned that the man would be hidden in a vehicle and transported abroad in this manner.

The cost of the "service" was 33,200 US dollars. This amount included unhindered travel to the state border and the actual transportation beyond the country's borders.

The organizer of the scheme was detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine while receiving the last part of the funds – 30,000 US dollars.

During searches, a total of 33,000 US dollars, mobile phones, a vehicle, and other evidence of illegal activity were seized from him.

The man was notified of suspicion under part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. At the request of the prosecution, a preventive measure in the form of detention with the right to bail was chosen for him.

Pre-trial investigation is ongoing, and other involved persons are being identified.

The measures to expose the crime were carried out by the prosecutor's office in cooperation with investigators from the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region, with operational support from the Security Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
