The head of the Ternopil Regional Prosecutor's Office, Vitaliy Panchenko, reported suspicion against a deputy of the Kremenets District Council for assaulting a minor resident of Kremenets (Part 1 of Article 125 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine; Part 1 of Article 126 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that the district council deputy punched the minor in the face and chest. The incident was allegedly triggered by a conflict between the boy and the deputy's younger brother. The victim's friend witnessed the altercation. The local government deputy not only used physical force against the young man but also threatened the minor and allegedly recorded everything on his mobile phone.
The victim's mother reported the assault on her son to law enforcement.
The deputy did not respond to the summons, evaded investigative actions, and was eventually declared wanted.
After reviewing the materials of the criminal proceedings, the head of the regional prosecutor's office signed the notification of suspicion against the district council deputy. Since the man is hiding from investigators, the notification of suspicion was handed to his relatives.
The investigation is ongoing, conducted by investigators of the Kremenets District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Ternopil region.
