During the special operation in Ternopil region, 11 people suspected of illicit drug sale of 1 million UAH were exposed

Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from Ternopil region, 11 individuals have been exposed and notified of suspicions regarding the manufacture, acquisition, storage, and sale of narcotic substances, and 2 of them for providing a place for drug use (Article 307, 317 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, the suspects established a scheme for the sale of narcotic substances in the territories of Ternopil and Khmelnytsky regions.
Some of them "worked" individually, purchasing prohibited substances through a Telegram channel, hiding caches in their residential areas, and growing narcotic raw materials in prepared premises, while others operated in groups. The activities of one of these groups were documented jointly by law enforcement agencies from Ternopil and Khmelnytsky.
The income of the suspects from this "business" amounted to up to 150,000 UAH per month.
During a special operation involving special forces from KORD, 25 searches were conducted in the territories of Kremenets, Chortkiv, and Buchach districts. 3 individuals were detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
During the searches, over 3 kg of cannabis, 1 kg of hemp, and other narcotic substances were seized. The estimated value of the confiscated prohibited substances at "black market" prices is about 1 million UAH.
The issue of choosing preventive measures for the suspects is being resolved.
The investigation is being conducted by the investigative units of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the region.
