Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Mykolaiv Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the defense sector of the Southern region, a serviceman has been exposed for passing military information to the enemy and attempting to persuade his fellow servicemen to commit treason.

According to the investigation, a platoon commander involved a relative to establish contact with a representative of the aggressor state. Through Telegram, she conveyed information about the relative's readiness to switch sides to the enemy.

Subsequently, the serviceman began actively cooperating with a representative of the Russian special services. He collected and transmitted information about the location of Ukrainian units in the Mykolaiv region and attempted to recruit his comrades, urging them to surrender.

The man has been notified of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The court has chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention without the right to bail.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Investigative Department of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Mykolaiv region, with operational support from the Department of Military Counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine in the Mykolaiv region.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
