Under the procedural guidance of the Chernihiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, a resident of the city of Chernihiv has been notified of suspicion for assisting the aggressor country in conducting subversive activities against Ukraine for monetary reward.

She is charged with treason (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, at the beginning of August 2025, the suspect established contact via Telegram with a representative of the Russian special services. After receiving instructions for carrying out tasks, she traveled to the Kyiv region to the specified coordinates to photograph and film military equipment. The recorded materials were sent by the perpetrator to her curator, for which she received a monetary reward to her crypto wallet.

Later, the woman returned to the city, rented accommodation, and installed a phone in the window of her apartment to conduct video recording near the administrative building of the Chernihiv City Military Recruitment Center and Social Protection.

The information obtained was planned to be used by the enemy for preparing targeted strikes with means of destruction and further adjusting their actions.

Currently, the suspect has been detained, and the issue of choosing a preventive measure is being resolved.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Security Service of Ukraine in the Chernihiv region with operational support from the Department of Military Counterintelligence of the SBU.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
