A deputy of the Kherson Regional Council, who contributed to the enemy in the export of Ukrainian agricultural products from the occupied territory, will stand before the court.

The Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol has sent an indictment to the court regarding a deputy of the Kherson Regional Council, who voluntarily assisted the armed formations of the Russian Federation during the occupation of Kherson region (Part 1 of Article 111-2, Part 2 of Article 28, Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The accused is a deputy of the VIII convocation of the Kherson Regional Council from the banned pro-Russian political party "Block of Volodymyr Saldo," the owner and actual head of a farming enterprise and several agricultural businesses in the Kherson region.

In the spring of 2022, the accused, while in the occupied part of the Kherson region at that time, repeatedly provided material resources to the enemy's army. He voluntarily supplied food to the servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces who participated in the armed aggression against Ukraine. The deputy also organized the unloading of grain (winter wheat) grown by his enterprises to the "State Unitary Enterprise 'Kherson Grain Company'" established by the occupiers.

To assist the occupation administration in the illegal appropriation and transportation of Ukrainian agricultural products, the accused organized the forced collection of harvests from fields belonging to other farmers.

In July 2022, he facilitated the transportation of the harvested agricultural products to the city of Dzhankoy in the temporarily occupied Crimean Peninsula, with the aim of further transporting them to foreign countries.

For unhindered movement through the occupied territory, the deputy used vehicle passes issued to him by the occupation "military-civilian administration of the Kherson region" as a "federal advisor."

In March 2020, he was detained in the city of Kherson. He will await the court's verdict in custody.

The pre-trial investigation and operational support were carried out by the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
