Prosecutors of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Prosecutor's Office have sent an indictment to the court against the former head of the State Geocadastre in the Khmelnytskyi region for abuse of office committed in collusion with a subordinate – the head of one of the departments, which caused serious consequences (part 2 of Article 28, part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The investigation established that in May 2021, the official committed a series of actions that led to the signing of orders for the transfer of more than 60 hectares of agricultural land with particularly valuable soils into private ownership.

Previously, the land was used by one of the educational institutions in the territory of the Chornoostrov community.

The value of the land is over 3.6 million UAH.

As a result of the timely response of the prosecutor's office, the alienated lands have already been returned to the ownership of the community.

The accused faces up to six years in prison with the deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years.

The accomplice of the suspect has been placed on international wanted list. A special pre-trial investigation has also been initiated against her.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the Territorial Department of the State Bureau of Investigation located in the city of Khmelnytskyi.
