Under the procedural guidance of the Haisyn District Prosecutor's Office, three residents of the Chechelnytsia community have been notified of suspicion for illegal logging in the territory of the National Nature Park "Karmeliukove Podillia," transportation, storage, and sale of timber by a group of individuals in conspiracy, which caused severe consequences (Part 4 of Article 246 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, during July to September 2025, the men illegally cut down trees in the protected area, transported the timber, and sold it. 

Six facts of illegal activity by the "loggers" have been documented, resulting in damage exceeding 2.5 million UAH.

Searches were conducted at their locations, during which cash, chainsaws, a truck, and illegally obtained timber were seized.

Currently, the prosecutor has submitted a motion to the court for the application of preventive measures in the form of detention for the suspects.  

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators from the investigative unit of Police Department No. 1 of the Haisyn District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Vinnytsia region, with operational support from the Criminal Investigation Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Vinnytsia region.
