In Kharkiv region, the agent of the Russian Federation, who conveyed the enemy data on the location of Ukrainian defenders

Under the procedural guidance of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, a 35-year-old man has been notified of suspicion for treason committed under martial law (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, a resident of the city of Izium voluntarily and consciously sided with the enemy.

In the Telegram messenger, he communicated with a representative of the Russian special services and agreed to carry out his tasks.

The agent attempted to establish contacts with Ukrainian servicemen in the city, disguising himself as a laborer offering assistance with everyday issues. At the same time, he conducted photo and video documentation of the locations of personnel and equipment, marked coordinates on Google Maps, and transmitted them to his curator from the Russian Federation.

The information obtained by the aggressor could be used to carry out missile and artillery strikes on the locations of Ukrainian defenders, posing a real threat to their lives and the safety of the civilian population, as well as harming the defense capability of our state.

Law enforcement officers detained the man. The court granted the prosecutor's request: a preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen for the suspect.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Investigative Department of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
