In Volyn, a train conductor was exposed, who for $ 7,000 tried to ship the military to Poland

According to the investigation, the conductor of the international passenger train, which runs through the "Yahodyn" checkpoint, organized a channel for the illegal transportation of men of conscription age to the Republic of Poland.

It has been established that for 7 thousand US dollars, the suspect attempted to transport a man, who was wanted by the territorial recruitment and social support center and had no legal grounds for leaving Ukraine under martial law, in the service compartment.

To avoid detection during passport control, the conductor and the "draft dodger" attempted to bribe a serviceman of the 6th border detachment of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, offering him a bribe of 5 thousand US dollars.

However, the border guard reported the attempted bribery to the leadership and law enforcement agencies, which documented the crime, and the suspects were detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine – during the transfer of the bribe.

Under the procedural guidance of the Volyn Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the defense sector of the Western region, the individuals have been notified of suspicion for providing unlawful benefits to a public official (part 3 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The conductor is also charged with organizing the illegal transportation of individuals across the state border of Ukraine (part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The court has already chosen preventive measures for the suspects. Other possible participants in the criminal scheme are being identified.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Volyn region, with operational support from the Department of Border Guard Service of Ukraine for the 6th border detachment, the Volyn Department of the National Police's Internal Security Department, and the Security Service of Ukraine's Department for Combating Corruption.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime until their guilt is proven in the manner prescribed by law and confirmed by a guilty verdict of the court.
