On the border with Moldova, a serviceman was detained who tried to take out a man from Ukraine for $ 5,000

Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the Defense Sector of the Southern Region, a serviceman has been notified of suspicion for organizing the illegal transportation of conscripts across the state border of Ukraine (Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, in July 2025, the suspect, using personal connections, was searching for men who intended to illegally leave the territory of Ukraine. He made arrangements with one of the conscripts for transportation to the Republic of Moldova outside of the checkpoints for 5,000 US dollars.

During personal meetings, the serviceman instructed the man on how to behave in case of detection by law enforcement and received an advance payment of 2,000 hryvnias.

The court has chosen a preventive measure for the suspect in the form of detention with the right to post bail in the amount of 242,240 hryvnias.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators from the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Odesa region, with operational support from the 25th Border Guard Detachment of the Southern Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
