Under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, a fact of embezzlement of budget funds during the procurement of equipment for a municipal enterprise in Vyshhorod has been uncovered.

According to the investigation, the director of the municipal enterprise "Vyshhorodteplomerezha" - a deputy of the Vyshhorod City Council, acting in collusion with the director of a private company, organized the purchase of an industrial pump that did not actually meet the technical requirements of the contract.

According to the terms of the contract, the municipal enterprise was supposed to receive a pump along with a control cabinet worth almost 2.8 million UAH. However, in December, the municipal enterprise actually accepted equipment worth only 241 thousand UAH. At the same time, the director of the municipal enterprise documented that the goods received were exactly those specified in the contract.

Thus, the state budget suffered losses of over 1.4 million UAH.

The director of the municipal enterprise "Vyshhorodteplomerezha" - a deputy of the Vyshhorod City Council, and the director of the private enterprise have been notified of suspicion by prosecutors of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office under Part 5 of Article 191 and Part 2 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Main Investigation Department of the National Police in Kyiv Oblast.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
